Lexy’s Top Priorities

Fighting For Equitable and Sustainable Prosperity For All

Lexy believes in pursuing policies that really help uplift rural areas: prioritizing education, job training, small business development, fair wages, and attracting private and public investment in innovative energy solutions.

Lexy will work with every level of the federal, state, and local governments of District 10 to ensure that the people who live here - not just the corporations who profit here- benefit from significant national investment.

Rural Economic Development

The System Our Tax Dollars Paid For Should Work For All of Us

Lexy watched her mom lose her healthcare along with her small business following the 2008 stock market crash, and she understands what quality healthcare can mean for all Georgians, especially our aging population. Congress can push Georgia to expanding Medicaid, if we have elected officials who will work for it.

Health Care

Abortion is a Question of Freedom

A person’s medical history and the decisions they make about their own healthcare should be entirely their own business. If elected, Lexy will fight to codify the right to privacy that had been upheld for so long under Roe v. Wade.

Anti-abortion zealots like Mike Collins have made Georgia’s 10th District a more dangerous place for all women. There are 8 counties in District 10 that do not have a single OB/GYN practicing medicine, and District 10 residents have to drive on average 25 miles to access a birthing hospital. Georgia’s maternal mortality rates are some of the worst in the country, especially for Black women, and we know that anti-abortion policies are directly related to the unavailability of maternal healthcare.

Bodily Autonomy & Privacy

Bring Back Trust and Fair Representation

Lexy became a poll worker because of her commitment to protecting our democracy. The most sacred opportunity we have in this country is the right to vote, and have your vote count the same as anyone else’s. We know these rights are constantly under attack. Lexy will join the fight to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

At the same time, she believes Congress must also take action to increase transparency and will work with anyone to pass campaign finance reform and ban Congressional insider trading.

Good Governance

We Can't Afford To Ignore Climate Change

Oil and gas companies have spent decades lining their pockets while the rest of us pay for the growing destruction climate change is causing. Lexy knows that alternative energy solutions aren’t just good for the environment - they are good for business, especially in the rural South.
